Autumn at Mount Royal

We went hiking in Mount Royal for the first time a few months ago. It's a beautiful park, with decent elevation, and many spots to view the city ... it's great because it is a 15-minute walk from our house. We went again last Saturday and really enjoyed the autumn colors. Also, this time we took a flashlight - and almost had to use it because we played too long. Here are a few photos.

A tree that was quite beautiful ...

The view is of the direction in which we live. We are northwest of Mount Royal.

This view is east of Mount Royal. McGill University (which you can see here) is in between Mount Royal and downtown. The University where K works is downtown - on the far right side of this photo.

We ended our day at Frite Alors!, where we had a giant cone of fries with two sauces: the Frite Alors! house sauce (mayo, harissa, and garlic) and another one with mayo and ginger. If you visit and eat wheat and meat, then we can take you there for some Canadian Poutines - french fies with cheese curds and gravy (yum yum).

I guess the name comes from "zut alor! "
